  • Please read and familiarize yourself with the links provided for American Health Acupuncture’s Notice of Privacy Practices, Payment, Cancellation, and Refund Policies.
  • We know your time is valuable, so we've included a link for you to print and fill out the initial paperwork before you begin your AHA Experience appointment.
  • Whenever possible, arrange your schedule so you have time to enjoy a relaxing acupuncture treatment.
  • We respect your time and ours. We have a no-wait policy - you will be seen within minutes of your arrival. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call to cancel within 24 hours prior or you will incur a charge for missed appointments.
  • We kindly ask that you refrain from wearing cologne or perfume when coming in for treatments.
  • Please eat a little something an hour or two before your appointment.
  • Please leave all cell phones on airplane mode. Our patient's love their relaxing nap time!
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing if possible. Ideally, there should be easy access to your legs up past the knee, arms past the elbows, and abdomen. Feel free to bring such clothes to change into before your treatment. Then there is no need to remove clothing.
  • Allow yourself between 1 1/2 - 2 hours for your first visit. This allows time to fill out the Initial Paperwork and 15-30 minutes for the initial Consultation/Assessment/Iridology Exam, including questions. In addition, your treatment will be approximately 30-60 minutes in length.
  • We offer three different treatments. Please discuss with our acupuncturist what treatment would benefit you the most during your initial exam. He will explain the different treatment options.

Treating Symptoms & Healing the Root Cause of Illness

Traditional Chinese Medicine video

How Do We Get Ill?

Emotions are the beginning of illness. Why?

Because we were taught that it is wrong to express how we feel. We bottle up our anger, fear, guilt, and so on. Over time, all these repressed feelings become physical illness like pain, cancer, fibromyalgia, headaches, etc.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, each organ deals with a particular emotion and they are also color significant.

The Heart - Joy

If unbalanced, you have anxiety, insomnia, feelings of emptiness, a tight chest, and bad circulation.

The Spleen - Worry

If unbalanced, you have digestive problems, lack of energy, forgetfulness, heaviness in the body, mental & muscle weakness.

The Lungs - Sadness & Grief

If unbalanced, you have breathing problems, sadness, allergies, skin problems, colds, or flus.

The Kidneys - Fear

If unbalanced, you have lower back and knee pain, coldness, difficulty breathing, prostate problems, or sexual and reproductive problems.

The Liver - Anger & Depression

If unbalanced, you have headaches, Extreme PMS, painful periods, digestive/acid regurgitation problems, or constant irritability. You don’t like anyone, including yourself.
