About Your First Session:

We recommend viewing the Intro to Acupuncture video above for important information about acupuncture, particularly what we do… Traditional Chinese Medicine.

  • Please read and familiarize yourself with the links provided for American Health Acupuncture’s Notice of Privacy Practices, Payment, Cancellation, and Refund Policies.
  • We know your time is valuable, so we’ve included a link for you to print and fill out the initial paperwork before you begin your AHA Experience appointment.
  • Whenever possible, arrange your schedule so you have time to enjoy a relaxing acupuncture treatment.
  • We respect your time and ours. We have a no-wait policy – you will be seen within minutes of your arrival. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call to cancel within 24 hours prior or you will incur a charge for missed appointments.
  • We kindly ask that you refrain from wearing cologne or perfume when coming in for treatments. We have patients with Chemical Sensitivity and are allergic to perfumes.
  • Please eat a little something an hour or two before your appointment.
  • Please leave all cell phones on airplane mode. Our patient’s love their relaxing nap time!
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing, with easy access to your legs up past the knee, arms past the elbows, and abdomen. Feel free to bring such clothes to change into before your treatment. Then there is no need to remove clothing.
  • Allow yourself 1 ¼ hours for your first visit. This allows time to fill out the Initial Paperwork (approx. 15 min. if necessary) and 15 minutes for the initial Traditional Oriental Medicine Exam and Acupuncture Treatment (total treatment time varies per patient’s diagnosis).
  • We offer three different treatments. Please discuss with our acupuncturist what treatment would benefit you the most during your initial exam. He will explain the different treatment options.
