Tucson Acupuncturist shares Spring time eating tips!

In Oriental Medicine each season has a special energy which affects or harmonizes with our organs; Spring Time is Liver and Gall Bladder Time.

Just like the earth puts forth new life (the trees leaf, bloom, new plants are born, insects and little creatures wake up and life begins again for them) our bodies begin to be more active, more energetic, we feel like going out walking and doing things.  Just like the bears and other creatures that hibernate, we need to cleanse our system by eating new green shoots and leaves like asparagus, collard greens, and Chinese broccoli to help the liver start in good form.

In the Orient, most people have an acupuncture treatment and medicinal herbs to get ready for spring, then they are in balance with Mother Nature and life is easier!
